Paper Pattern:

Research Methodology paper is a subjective paper. The total number of Questions asked in this paper are 5. First 4 questions have alternatives and you have to attempt any one of the two. Last question is short notes and 4 out of 6 are to be attempted. Questions asked are of long answer type and answer should be descriptive. Word limits should be maintained in the answers wherever applicable. Examples should be provided in every answer if it is necessary. Questions are further divided into 2-3 sub-questions.

Research and its important, survey research involved in the library and information science, design of questionnaire and its advantages, structure report, short notes on interview method, sampling procedure etc. Questions should be answered within the prescribed word limits, for short notes it is 250 words.

Total marks and time allotted:

Total marks which can be obtained in this paper are 100 and time allotted is 3 hours. 1st 4 questions are of 20 marks each and last questions are of short notes and each short note is of 5 marks each and 4 such notes are there.
