Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women (formerly known as S.I.E.T.College for Women) was founded by South India Educational Trust. Admission in this college is kept open to all eligible women belonging to any religion, caste or community. This institute is autonomous and is affiliated to University of Madras. It has won the accreditation of A + status by NAAC.

Infrastructure:

The institute is spread over vast area of 16 acres in the center of the Chennai city. Each department has individual laboratory and is updated with latest equipments for enabling the students to perform the practical classes with innovative approach. This college holds a big swimming pool which is well maintained and indeed it is the only college having a swimming pool in Chennai. Auditorium and seminar halls are huge enough to accommodate many guests and well furnished to conduct various seminars both at national and inter-national levels.

All the students must obtain a minimum of 140 credits to get Bachelor Degree. The candidates who have passed higher secondary by Tamilnadu Board of Exam or CBSE are eligible for admission.
