Laureate Institute of Education & Training is an autonomous institution that works under the sponsorship of the registered Laureate Educational Society. The institute started functioning from the year 2006-2007.

It is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla. The institute imparts comprehensive training in the field of education through skilled lecturers, fully equipped infrastructure with necessary facilities.

Courses offered:

Laureate Institute of Education & Training offers the undergraduate course in the field of education - B Ed (Bachelor of Education). The duration of the course is one year.

Eligibility criteria for getting admission:

Candidates, who have successfully completed Bachelor’s degree (in science, commerce or humanities stream) with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (relaxable for SC/ ST candidates), are eligible to apply for the B.Ed course. The admission for the B. Ed course in the college is made based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

The institute has state-of-the-art infrastructure with excellent facilities such as library, laboratories, canteen, sports, medical, separate girls’ and boys’ hostel, playground, computer lab, internet connectivity, and extra-curricular activities. The institute has spacious Activity room/ Multipurpose Hall performing various activities and storage.

The library of the institute is spacious and equips large collection of more than 6,800 books related to various subjects including educational books, journals and magazines. The laboratory of the institute is well-equipped with modern amenities. Sports & Games:

The play ground of the institute has facilities for playing games such as Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Bidminton, Table Tennis and Judo. The institute requests or hires Police Stadium at Bharari (Shimla) for major games such as Football, Hockey, and Cricket.
