Structure of Osmania University PhD Pharmacy Entrance Exam

The entrance exam for Ph.D course conducted by Osmania University is known as “OU Ph.D eligibility test”. The total marks for the test is 100. The eligibility test will be objective in nature. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. The candidate should obtain a minimum of 30% marks for passing the entrance test. There will be relaxation for candidates under O.B.C. and SC/ST category. The final selection for the Ph.D course will be on the basis of interview for the candidates who pass in the eligibility test.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates completing M.Pharm from recognized University are eligible to apply for Osmania University Ph.D Entrance Exam. The candidates who have completed their post graduation through distance mode can also apply for Ph.D Entrance Test. Such candidates should have completed the course from a recognized university or the university approved by the Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi. The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying exam. There is relaxation for candidates belonging to OBC or SC/ST category.

How to apply?

The candidates can obtain the application forms along with booklet from the Director, Department of Publications and Press, Osmania University. The cost of the application form is Rs.100/-. The candidates can also obtain the application forms through post. For this, they have to send a D.D for Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of   the “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University” and payable at Hyderabad.” The candidate should enclose a self addressed covered along with the request for the application form. The candidate should send a D.D. for Rs.550/- drawn in favour of “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University” payable at Hyderabad along with the completed application forms. The completed application form should be sent to The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Near University Press, Osmania University, Hyderabad – 500007.

How to fill the Form?

All the required details regarding the course and instructions to fill the application form are given information booklet. Candidates are requested to check the same before filling the form. Self-attested photographs of the candidate must be placed in the specified area. No column in the form must be left vacant.
