The offices of Accountants General (Kerala) comes under the control of Indian Audit & Accounts Department which in turn comes under the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. The office was actually upgraded in the year 1960 to the Accountant Genera;l’s level. The office was then reorganized into two seperate units in the year 1982 i.e. Accountant General-I and Accountant General-II. There total four branch offices of the offices of the Principal Accountant General (A&E) and the Principal General (Audit). United Bank of India was establsihed on July 19, 1969 under the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970. United Bank of India is one of the 14 nationalised banks. The bank’s name was changed to United Bank of India from Bangal Central Loan Company Limited on October 12, 1950. The head office of the bank was also intially located at 4 Clive Ghat Street but later it was shifted to 11 Hemanta Basu Sarani, Kolkata. Several other banks like Camilla Union Bank Limited, Tezpur Industrial Bank Limited etc amalgated with the bank on December 18, 1950. Anna University conducts B.Tech Lateral Entry Examination to admit the eligible candidates to the seats reserved by the University.
