Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu offers a number of distance education post graduate courses in different fields of study. M.Sc holders in Physics have adequate options for higher studies as well as career. Higher education courses like Master of Philosophy in Applied Physics, Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Thermodynamics, and Doctor of Philosophy in Atomic Physics can be selected for studies. Otherwise they can try for jobs in firms like Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Oil India Limited, and Solar Energy Corporation of India. Research Fellow/Scientist/Assistant Professor is some other jobs suitable for M.Sc graduates in Physics.
The Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB) has invited applications for the job profiles of Chartered Accountant, Agricultural Officer, Law Officer, and IT Specialist Officer. Eligibility criteria vary with job profile. Bachelor degree in law from a recognized Indian University is the basic qualification required for the profile of ‘Law Officer’. Minimum qualification required for the profile of ‘Agricultural Officer’ is graduation in Agriculture. Maximum age limit for most of the job profiles is 28 years. In case of SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is 33 years. Eligible candidates should submit applications before 25th October, 2013.

There will be three sections for MCA entrance test conducted at Thapar University. Topics like Analytical Ability, Mathematical Aspects of Computer Science, and Concepts of Computer Science are asked for the entrance test. The Rishi Shukla Memorial Scholarship (RSM Scholarship) is often given to students pursuing 4th year of engineering degree in Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College (MMMEC). It is given under the sponsorship of MMMEC Alumni Scholarship Fund. Selected student will be paid with one full year’s tuition fee.
