PhD In Law
Students aspiring for PhD in law should be aware that the course is a serious one and changes the way to look at society, life, mainly deals with justices & constitutions of India. There are different categories of law like corporate law, criminal law, public law, etc in which candidates can do PhD. The students can expect to become professionally competent & technically sound lawyers by the two years of course provided by the institute.
Eligibility Criteria
Students aspiring to pursue this course must have a Master’s degree in Law/ Master’s degree with M.Phil in Humanities or Social Sciences with degree in Law/ degree in law with PhD in any discipline/ Judge of any State High Court or Supreme Court of India with minimum three years of experience/ Master’s in Taxation and Business Law/ passed Company Secretary by ICSI. The candidates who have cleared UGC NET/JRF, M.Phil, and SLET need not to give extra exam conducted by the respective universities for admissions.
Course Outlook
The course generally comprises of both full- time and part- time. The duration of full-time course is minimum 2 years in the university and maximum 3 years for submitting the research articles and publishing in the well-known journal. In case of part-time course is minimum 3 years in the university and maximum 5 years for submitting their research article for evaluation. Thus depending on their performances the placements are being done.
Job Prospectus
The jobs are being provided by the institutes or being hired by the companies as interns or professional lawyer on their respectective backgrounds and merits.

i am net qualified in 2010 then is it essential to me to give entrance exam for phd.
i m a govt. employee aspiring to do phd[law].pl. let me know that would i have to take leave for completing it or for course work which has been made mandatory for everyone to undergo course work for six months. would i have to take leave from my govt. department for pursuing course work or i can do it simultaneously with my job. pl. advice
