Aravali College of Engineering and Management (ACEM) is one of the pioneer institutions in the field of technical education. The college makes adequate arrangements for campus placement through their ‘Training and Placement Cell’. Training activities are conducted for soft skill and personality development. Placement cell coordinates all activities prior from inviting prospective employers to campus till the final stage of campus recruitment. HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra, Escorts, NHPC, HCL, Prasar Bharati, etc are some of the companies that visited ACEM in previous years for campus placement.

Training and Placement Cell in ACEM

Placement Cell in ACEM has a vital role in training students and making arrangements for campus placement. The placement cell is well managed by the placement committee comprising a group of student representatives. This committee is headed by a ‘Training and Placement Officer’. Main activities of placement committee are the following.

  • Campus recruitment

The committee takes care of the pre-placement talks with prospective employers and arranging adequate facilities for companies at times of campus visit. Organizing industrial tour with reputed companies and arranging lecturers/seminars with experts with experts from industry are done by the training and placement cell. Industrial visits help students to gain practical insights to the subject area of study. At the same time placement committee keeps regular contact with these companies through e-mail, letters, and so on.

Soft skill training rendered by the institute allows students to perform well in campus recruitments. This increases the confidence level in students to face any of the stages of recruitment process. Personality development program is also organized by the training and placement cell. Soft skills and personality are usually tested in the session of GD and interview. Most of the companies carry out GD and interview as the second and third stage of selection process. Aptitude test is conducted at the first stage of selection process. Those who clear aptitude test are only considered for GD which is elimination round.
