APSRSAC, which is Abbreviated as Andhra Pradesh State Remote Sensing Applications Centre is an autonomous society functioning under the AP Government. This centre is registered under the AP Societies Registration Act 2001, the principal secretary of the Planning Department of Government of Andhra Pradesh is acting as the chairperson of the centre. In the state of AP, this centre is a nodal agency for application of GIS and Remote Sensing Technology for management and inventory of resource. It is functioning from a place called Ameerpet in the capital city of the state of AP.

Andhra Pradesh State Remote Sensing Applications Centre has called for online applications from eligible candidates for the position of Resource Analyst (hydrology) to work in one of its projects called as Tank Reliant Irrigated Area Development project & Tank Information System and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this respect.

Name of the Vacancy: Resource Analyst (Hydrology)

Terms of employment: Appointment will be purely on contract basis and the position is purely temporary in nature.

Terms of Reference:

Terms of reference for the position of Resource Analyst (hydrology) would be preparation of command, cascade and catchment boundaries, preparation of project report, rainfall analysis, analysis of tank memoirs data, field work, identification of feasible sites for cascades and tanks and hydrological analysis and any other tasks pertaining to their project.

Educational Qualification and experience:

To apply for the position of Resource Analyst (hydrology), candidates must have completed their Master of Science in Hydrology/Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Civil Engineering and they should possess at least one year of experience in water resource/hydrology using GIS and RS techniques.
