St. Andrew’s College, which has earned its name in remembrance of Saint Andrew, one of the first 12 disciples of Jesus Christ had its humble beginning in the year 1828 as a mission school by the church missionary society for offering education basically to Christian children. However, the institute presently offers education to all irrespective of creed. The institute was converted as a college in the year 1899 and it is presently offering education in the faculties of arts, law, science, commerce and education with affiliation from the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University.

Aim of St. Andrew’s College:
The aim of St. Andrew’s College is to offer an all round education to the students drawing inspiration from the teachings and life of Jesus Christ. The college has included the instructions based on Bible as a part of its curriculum, however, students who do not wish to take up the instruction are not forced.
