The higher secondary education in Science stream is necessary to take admission in Engineering or medical sector and for both the physics subject is a compulsory subject. The subject is a practical paper and it is applicable in every field. Electrical, Electronics and telecommunication are the major section of physics.

Paper pattern:

Physics paper of this board is a subjective paper which also contains objective section. Total number of questions in the paper is 27 in the subjective section. Question paper is divided into three sections, section A is of objective section and contains 50 questions carrying equal marks. Section B is of very short answer type questions of equal marks of 15 questions, Section C is of 6 short answer type questions carrying 5 marks and section D is of long answer type 8 questions from which 6 are to be attempted.

Questions in the paper are of subjective type as well as an objective section is given in the paper. The objective section contains questions with multiple choices, very short answer type questions are such as definitions, examples, full forms, names are asked. Short answer type questions consists principles, theory and its applications, problems related to it, in long answer type section, questions on theory and its derivation along with a problem is given it.

Total marks and time allotted:

Maximum marks which can be awarded in this paper are 150 and time allotted is 3 hours, paper of objective section is separately carried out. Question paper is divided into 4 sections, section A is of 50 marks, Section B and C are of 30 marks each and section D is of 40 marks.
