Atomic Minerals Directorate (AMD) for Exploration and Research was established on July 29, 1949 as ‘Rare Minerals Survey Unit’ under the Atomic Energy Act, passed by the Govt. of India on April 15, 1948. It was renamed first as ‘Raw Materials Division’ and then as ‘Atomic Minerals Division’ in 1958, and finally as AMD.

The headquarters of AMD was initially set up in New Delhi. Its headquarters was shifted from Delhi to Hyderabad during the year 1974.

Job Profile:

Atomic Minerals Directorate for Explosion & Research (AMD) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Technical Officer-C in various disciplines.

No of Posts: 15 (Mining -2, Chemistry - 6, Mechanical/ Drilling -2, Civil -2, Electrical -1)

Pay Scale – RS. 15600-39100 + GP of Rs. 5400 + DA and other allowances

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The maximum age limit is 27 years (Relaxable as per rules).

Selection Process:

The selection for the post is through written test and interview. Only candidates selected in the written test will be called for the interview to be held at Hyderabad.
