Atomic Minerals Directorate (AMD) for Exploration and Research is the oldest unit of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). The headquarters of AMD is at present located in Hyderabad, and its new regional centers are located at Shillong, Hyderabad and Jaipur in addition to the four already existing centres at New Delhi, Bangalore, Calcutta/ Jamshedpur and Nagpur.

The headquarters of the AMD equips various laboratories with state of the art instruments. The primary objective of the AMD is to take necessary steps to protect our country in connection with atomic energy as per the provisions of the Atomic Energy Act. The AMD also aims to survey the territories of the Indian Dominion for location of useful minerals in connection with atomic energy.

Job Profile:

Atomic Minerals Directorate for Explosion & Research (AMD) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Technician-B in various disciplines.

No of Posts: 37 (Drilling - 28, Electrical - 3, Physics - 2, Chemistry - 2, EDXRF, EPMA - 2)

Pay Scale – RS. 5200-20200 + GP of Rs. 2000 + DA and other allowances

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The maximum age limit is 25 years (Relaxable as per rules).

Educational Qualification – The candidates must have passed HSC or SSC with Science and Maths subjects with at least 60% marks. They must have at least 1 year duration trade certificate in relevant discipline. Selection Process:

The selection for the post is through trade test and interview.
