The university is a member of Associations of Indian Universities. The institute provides many post graduate and Ph.D courses to the aspirants.

Structure of Ph.d entrance exam for Commerce and Business Management

The entrance exam paper for Ph.D in Commerce and Business Management consists of written questions only. The paper consists of two sections. The first section or Section A consists of 10 questions of 5 marks each. All the questions are to be answered in this section. The second section or Section B consists of ten questions out of which only five are to be answered. In the usual pattern, the candidate is given a choice between two questions. The questions in section B are of 10 marks each. The total duration of the exam is three hours.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate can get admission to Ph.D course in Commerce and Management if they fulfill the following criteria.

The candidate should obtain Post-Graduate Degree from any recognized university. For candidates completing their post graduation through distance mode, the university should be recognized and approved by Distance Education Council.

The candidate should obtain a minimum of 55% marks in the subject of post graduation.

The candidates under SC/ST category should obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the subject of post graduation.

How to Apply?

The application form can be downloaded from the official website of the university www.telanganauniversity.ac.in . The completed application forms along with certificates and enclosures should be sent to The Director, Centre for  Research & Development, Telangana University, Nizamabad  -503 322. The application form should reach before the last date of submission. The candidate should enclose a demand draft of Rs 1000/- along with the filled application form. The demand draft can be taken from any Nationalised Bank drawn in favor of “The Registrar, Telangana University, Nizamabad”  payable at SBI TU Campus Branch.

How to fill the Form?

The applicant should fill in all the information in the application from very carefully. The name, date of birth, father’s name should be entered as in the certificate of higher secondary exam. The applicant should complete the form personally. The candidates should affix his/her recent photograph in the application form. The candidate should enter the address of communication correctly. The institute will use this address for all further communication with the candidate.  The applicant should fill the details of bank details correctly.

Study Plan

Start the preparation for the entrance exam well in advance. Learn all the difficult topics early and leave the easy one for the last. Manage time effectively. Cover all the topics giving importance to key topics. Revise all the topics at least once before the entrance exam. Study each topic elaborately as the questions are descriptive in nature. Refer to old question papers and cover the topics accordingly. Enquire about the entrance test and study plan with seniors who have cleared the test before. Discuss the difficult portions with some professors or seniors.
