Importance of the paper

The human mind is itself very intriguing. The fact that we have come so far from the caves is no less astonishing. Thus the subject of Personnel Administration has gained popularity in the last decade. The fact is that we want to know more about our potential and its maximization. Thus the paper tests the candidates taking the examination on the basis of their leadership skills and their ability to guide people in times of need. The ability of taking decisions based on an adequate knowledge of the situation taking into consideration the general mind set of the people is again something that is expected of the candidates.

Format

The whole paper is of 70 marks and 14 marks is allotted for each question in the first half while 7 marks are allotted for each question in the second half.

Paper pattern

The paper consists of the two parts. The candidate is supposed to attempt all the three questions in the first part. However, internal choices are provided and the candidate can pick either of the two questions. Each answer should be in 500 words. The second half comprises of the seven questions of which the candidate is supposed to answer any four. Each answer in the second half is in 250 words.

Marking

The first half carries a total of forty two marks, with each of the question carrying 14 marks. The remaining four main questions in the second half carry seven marks each. There are no negative marks awarded. The candidate is expected to write the answers to the point in a simplified manner to score the most.
