Velammal College of Management and Computer Studies is in Chennai. It was established n the year 1995. The Institute is affiliated to the University of Madras and is accredited by AICTE.  The institute is an ISO 2000 certified Institution of higher education.

Campus

The campus is spread across a wide area and has all the basic facilities. Each and every department has their own laboratories if needed and had their library and Seminar Halls. The class rooms have got an excellent sitting facility. The library of the college caters to the books needed by the students and also journals and magazines. There is a seminar hall where various college events take place. There is provision for the transport facility. Apart from this there is the canteen in the college campus that serves food. Also there is hostel facility for the students from the outside station. There are Medical Check ups that are done in the campus.

Courses Offered

The Institute offers a full time Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program which is of two years duration and the course is offered in various fields.

Admission Procedure

The admission to the college is based on the merit obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination conducted by the college or the state for the Management Schools in the state. The candidates can also apply after they have achieved a score in the CAT or other national entrance examination

Placements:

The college has a very good placement record with companies like the Bank of India, Infosys, Wipro Technologies, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and other recruiting students from the campus.
