Pattern of AIPVT:

The exam will be of 3 hrs. & there will be 200 questions on physics, chemistry & mathematics. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer.

Eligibility for AIPVT:

* The candidate should be an Indian national and should have passed the higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 higher/senior secondary examination after a period of 12 years of study which includes last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years of study.

*Even candidates who have completed the Intermediate Science examination in Science from a recognized university or board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with English can also apply.

*The candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% marks for General Category in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at 10+2 or Intermediate Science Examination.

*Candidates belonging to SC/ST or other special category are eligible with 10% less than that prescribed for general category.

* The age limit is of 17 years before December in the year of applying.
