St. Christopher’s College of Education was established in the year 1923 and the college was awarded with five star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Eligibility for admission:

For getting admission to St. Christopher’s College of Education, students must have completed their under graduation degree with not less than 45% of marks in the final year of the under graduation course (a pass is enough for candidates belonging to SC/ST category). Students, who have taken more than one subject in the final year of the degree course, should apply for any one of the main subjects in the B. Ed course offered by the college. In case, a student has completed UG course in microbiology/environmental science/applied physics/biochemistry/applied chemistry, he/she can take biology, physics or chemistry as main subject in the B. Ed course. In case students have studied home science and commerce at the UG level, they can apply only after completing their PG course in respective subjects.

For offering effective support to the students, the college is offering several student support services like advisory system, credit system, credit based certificate courses, co-curricular activities, compulsory national service scheme, language laboratory and scholarships. In addition to these services, the library functioning at the college has a collection of several books for reference to students.
