Calicut University is very big University and has a huge number of affiliated colleges under its belt. It ranks to around two hundred and fifty in number. It offers the course in both Bachelor as well as Master level. B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering is a bachelor’s level degree in which students are taught Distributed systems in their 6th Semester.

Divisions or Sections in the paper:

The paper of Distributed System offered under the sixth semester in the course of B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering has a total of five different parts.

Pattern of the paper:

The first part of the paper carries a single main question, comprising of eight different sub-questions, all of which are compulsory to attempt. There are four other parts, each offering two question based of principles of Internal Options, in which candidates have to attempt any one from each of the pair. These questions comprise of Long or sub-questions based.

Markings

The total mark offered by the paper of Distributed System is one hundred marks. The first question carries forty marks, with each of the sub-question carrying five marks. The remaining four main questions carry a total of fifteen marks. There is no negative marking observed in the paper.

Time allotted for the examination:

The total time offered by the University to complete the exam is three hours.
