Cochin University Information Technology 3rd Semester Electrical Technology Papers
Since the establishment of the Cochin University in the year 1971, the University has surpassed many such universities of its class and today it’s one of the leading universities of India. Even for the information technology students in the third semester Electrical Technology paper is included.
Modules:
The syllabus of the subject is divided into four modules and the paper is accordingly set up as per thye modules. The four modules basically contain:
- • The first module basically contains the review of the network system.
- • The second module contains Coupled circuit and two port network.
- • The third module contains Polyphase systems and circuit transits.
- • The last module contains details about the Fourier series.
Text Book:
Theory & problems of the electric circuit, Schaum’s outline series by Joseph. A. Edminister. The book is of the Tata McGraw Hill edition.
Pattern of the paper:
The test is total of 150 marks in which the internals are of 50 marks and the university test is of 100 marks. The paper is divided into two groups A and B. The paper is set up according to the four modules. In group A there are 8 compulsory questions each of 5 five marks and it is to be noted that two questions are from each of the module. The group B has eight questions each of 15 marks which are being divided into four sets and a student has to answer one question from each set.
