Nursing College:

Government School of Nursing located in the city of Palakkad is affiliated to the Kerala Nursing Council and the college came into existence in the year 1963. This college is offering General Nursing and Midwifery course with an intake capacity of 25 students.

Engineering College:

Government College of Engineering is located in a place called Sreekrishnapuram in the district of Palakkad and this college is fully-owned by the government of Kerala. The college is offering B. Tech course in information technology, computer science & engineering and electronics and communication engineering with affiliation from the Calicut University. Admission to this college is done based on the performance of the students in KEAM examination conducted by the Government of Kerala.

Training College:

Government Teacher Training Institute is located in a place called Nemmara in the Palakkad District of the state of Kerala and this college came into existence in the year 2004, The institute is offering Teacher Training Course with an approved intake capacity of 50 students per year. Of these 50 seats, 25 seats are filled through government quota and remaining 25 filled through management quota.

Chembai Memorial Government Music College, which is also called as Government Sangeetha College came into existence in the year 1957 and this college is specially meant for offering Bachelor of Arts in different forms of music like vocal and instrumental music courses. Sree Neelakanda Government Sanskrit College, which is also called as Government Samaskrita College is located in a place called Pattambi and the college is affiliated to the University of Calicut. This college is offering courses through its different departments like department of Sanskrit, Malayalam, commerce & management studies, chemistry, botany, economics, zoology, English and History.

Polytechnic College:

Government Polytechnic College located in the city of Palakkad is wholly-owned by the Government of Kerala and admissions to different courses offered by the college are managed by the Directorate of Technical education of the state. The college is offering regular three-year diploma course in computer hardware maintenance, electronics engineering, instrument technology, mechanical engineering and civil engineering. It is also offering part-time diploma course in electronics engineering, mechanical engineering and civil engineering.
