Coffee production in India is dominated in the hill tracts of South Indian States in India with Tamil Nadu contributing 11%, Kerala contributing 28% and Karnataka contributing 53% to towards the total coffee production in India. As compared to any other countries in the world, coffee grown in India is grown under shade rather than direct sunlight and so the finest coffee is produced in India.

In India coffee is grown approximately by 2,50,000 coffee growers in India and out of these nearly 98% are small growers, while the remaining two percentage are big companies. Out of the coffee grown in India, 80% is used for export purpose and out of this 70% are bound to France, Italy, Netherlands, Greece, Japan, the United States, Solovenia, Belgium, Spain, Russian Federation and Germany.
