JNTU is providing degree of engineering since last two decades and standard of education is increasing year by year. The department of ECE is one of the most preferred branches in engineering as it provides loads of the jobs and the field is very vast.

Paper Pattern:

The subject of Antennas and wave Propagation is a technical paper and questions asked in this paper are from the theoretical as well as numerical part. Questions in this paper are 8 and 5 from that questions are required to be attempted. All questions are of equal marks and each question is further divided into 2-3 sub questions. The paper contains 1-2 questions of numerical type and some questions are asked of diagram based type, in this type of questions, candidates are required to solve the questions with suitable diagram or circuit diagram.

Frequently asked questions:

The subject is a technical paper and questions asked are such as Dual characteristics of an antenna, Radiation from Two wire, optimum spacing used in parasitic array, Helical Antenna, Space wave propagation, Duct propagation, characteristics of F1 and F2 layers, reasons for reduction of field strength in sky wave propagation, Directive Gain and Power Gain, Parasitic Element etc. Questions get repeated from the previous year’s paper and students should revise them.

Total marks and time allotted:

A student can score a highest of 80 marks in the paper and candidates can get a maximum of 3 hours to solve this paper. All questions are of equal marks, i.e. of 16 marks. Each question is divided into 2-3 sub questions for the ease of students.
