Bapatla Women’s Engineering College came into existence in the year 2009 and it is one of the seven educational institutions offered with financial support by the Bapatla Education Society. The institute was established with the objective of imparting quality technical education with affiliation from the Acharya Nagarjuna University. The campus of the institution is located in the town of Bapatla, which has a hoary and historical past located at a distance of about 75 kms from the city of Vijayawada.

Faculties functioning under the college:

Bapatla Women’s Engineering College has three faculties of education under its control and they are Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication and Computer Science & Engineering faculty. The departments functioning under the college are science & humanities, mechanical engineering, electrical & electronics, electronics & communication and computer science department.

Courses offered:

Bapatla Women’s College offers the following courses:

Four-year Bachelor of Technology in

o Electrical & Electronics Engineering

o Electronics & Communication Engineering

o Computer Science & Engineering

For electrical & electronics course alone the college is permitted to admit 60 women candidates, while for other two courses, the intake capacity is 120 students per branch.

Girls’ Hostel:

The campus of Bapatla Women’s Engineering College has a hostel, which is meant exclusive for Women candidates. The hostel is located in a three-storied building with 80 rooms and a capacity to accommodate 400 students. The hotel is provided with wide range of facilities like flower gardens, lush green lawns, standby generator, shuttle badminton court, TT room, Audio & TV room, spacious dining hall, etc… there is also a computer centre in the hostel with internet facility for the sake of students staying the hostel.

Mission of the College:

The mission of Bapatla Women’s College is to impart quality education on par with the international standards to students from different parts of the nation and more specifically to the students from rural areas. The college strives to make the students ethically strong and technologically competent in such a way that they can improve the quality of not only their own lives, but also the quality of the economy.
