Sagi Ramakrishnam Raju Engineering College shortly called as SRKR Engineering College came into existence in the year 1980 and the college is functioning with the mission of developing into a centre of excellence in the field of technical education. The college offers engineering education with affiliation from the Andhra University from the year 1987 and with approval from the All India Council for Technical Education. The college is functioning as a Grants-in-aid college receiving grants from the University Grants Commission.

The institute is approved with an intake capacity of 18 students per year for all branches of PG courses and an intake capacity of 120 students per year for all branches of UG Courses.

Admission:

For all engineering colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh including SRKR College, admission is based on EAMCET entrance examination, which stands for Engineering & Medical Common Entrance Test and Counseling, which is conducted by the Convener of EAMCET. Normally, this entrance examination is conducted for 150 marks in total and candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination before the date of counseling for admission to engineering course.

Training & Placement Cell:

SRKR Engineering College regularly conducts training programmes for final year and pre-final year students of all groups in such a way that they can learn group discussion, mock interview and communication skills. Many top organizations like Indian Army, Maytas Infrastructure, INFOTECH, Prasad & Company, L & T, Essar Steels, Sify, Polaris, TCS, Wipro, Convergys, Tata Elexsi, etc… are regularly conducting campus recruitments in this college.
