Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishvavidyalayam renders facility for research in numerous disciplines that leads to the award of M.Phil or Ph.D degree. Like wise they carry out entrance examinations so as to admit the eligible candidates to carry out research in Applied Mathematics.  The admissions are carried out in the appropriate departments of the University.  It is limited to the women candidates only. The aspirant is eligible to appear for M.Phil or Ph.D entrance exam only if he/she holds a Master’s degree in the relevant subject.

Structure of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam M.Phil/Ph.D in Applied Mathematics Entrance Exam

The entrance test will be of 3 hours duration and is carried out for 100 marks. Out of seven essay type questions, the candidates have to answer five questions.

Eligibility Criteria

The students should have a post graduate degree in this field from any one of the recognized universities. They should also possess a second class with an aggregate of 55% marks. The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates is 50%. The part time registration for M.Phil/Ph.D programme in Applied Mathematics is open only for the staff/professional of an organization. They should have a minimum of two years experience in that particular institution.

How to Apply?

The registrations for the M.Phil/Ph.D degree courses are made once the notifications have been released.  Candidates those who hold some of the national fellowships like M.Phil./NET/JRF/SLET/GATE are excluded from attending the entrance examination.

How fill the Form?

After filling up the application forms, the candidate has to submit it along with the following attachments.

• Two Stamp Size Photographs
• Three self-addressed envelopes which is of size 22 cm x 10 cm
• The certificate showing the pass in the qualifying examination
• The SC/ST candidates should provide a certificate mentioning the caste of the candidate.

The completed application along with all the enclosures must be submitted in person or through registered post before the last date of acceptance of the forms to the Dean of School of Sciences.

The details of the candidate should be filled very carefully as incorrect applications will be rejected.

The name of the discipline to which the admission is sort must be specified clearly on the top of the envelope in block letters.
