Paper description:
The course of Translation studies deals with the studies of various regional languages or the languages which the students personally opted. This course is in great demand from the past couple of decades of globalization. After completion of this course the students can work as an interpreter in private as well as in government firms.

Short notes mainly come from the topics; Human Communication, Machine translation, old and new testaments, fundaments of interpersonal conversation, etc.

Paper pattern:
M.A in Translation Studies-1st Year Theories of Translation Papers of Annamalai University is a subjective paper which consist 13 to 14 questions. The questions are divided into two sections, namely section A and section B.
Section A consists of 8 compulsory questions with each holding 5 marks. These are long answer type questions and the marks allotted for the entire section are 40.
Section B consists of the next five questions each having 20 marks. These are essay type questions from which the students need to attend 3 questions. This section holds 60 marks.
The total marks of the paper are 100 and the time of completion of the paper is 3 hours.
