Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is one of the most prestigious Universities of India, which provides various UG, PG and research programmes to aspirants from all around the world. The candidates desiring to secure admission to these courses in BHU have to clear the entrance test conducted by the University.

Structure of BHU B.Sc. Nursing & B. Pharm Entrance Test

The entrance test will be of written type comprising of 100 MCQs. Each right answer will carry 4 marks.  The maximum mark is 400. The time duration allotted is 120 minutes within which utmost number of questions has to be answered. Negative marking won’t be there for incorrect answers.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have passed their 10+2 or equivalent with science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology) and English from a recognized Board are eligible to apply for the B.Sc. Nursing & B. Pharm Entrance Test. They should also secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for PC candidates & 40% for OBC / SC / ST candidates). Those appearing the final year exam of graduation can also apply for the same. Candidates who are physically and mentally well are only entitled to apply for B.Sc. Nursing course in BHU. More clearly, Physically Challenged candidates are not qualified for applying for the entrance test.  The aspirants should also fall in the age group of 17 to 25 years.

How to Apply?

The application form along with the information bulletin can be obtained through post for which a written request along with DD of Rs 100/- has to be sent. The candidates can also obtain the same directly from the office of Director, IMS – BHU. One can also download the form from the websites www.imsbhu.nic.in or www.bhu.ac.in. The fee payment has to be done through DD of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 600/- for SC / ST category candidates). The DD has to be drawn in favor of Director, IMS, BHU and should be payable at Varanasi. The completed form along with all the required enclosures have to be sent to Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi - 221005 by speed or registered post ahead of the cutoff date.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates are requested to circumspectly read the instructions which are revealed in the information booklet previous to filling the form. One has to pay extreme attention while filling the application form since thosenot appropriately filled or incomplete will be rejected. Furthermore, make certain that all the columns are properly filled and no column is left blank.
