The council is a actually an autonomous body that is located at Anusandhan Bhawan, Rafi Marg. Prime Minister of India is the chairman of the council while Professor Sameer K. Brahmachari is the Director General of the council. The council is responsible for performing various research and development activities in various fields.
Job Profile:
Applications are invited from young and eligible indian nationals for the positions of Data Entry Operator in CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute. Candidates will be engaged on purely temporary basis on contract for a period of 6 months. Candidates will be recruited under the project entitled “Building Electronic Knowledge Based Effective Work Places” at CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute.
Eligibility:
Candidates are required to have attained the maximum age limit i.e. 28 years as on 21 April 2011. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates, will be provided age relaxation of prescribed years as per the Government of India instruction. This age criteria is need to be fulfilled by the interested candidates.
Educational Qualification:
Interested candidates are required to have done 3 years Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institute. Those candidates, who had done BCA or Graduation in any discipline with one year Diploma in Computer Applications froma recognized institute are also eligible to apply for the respective position in CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute. One year experience in working on Human Resource Management Automation Solutions is desirable for the specified position.

Selection Committee:
The selection process includes a written examination on computer application. Candidates will also have to appear or undergo a proficiency test. Candidates are required to have a typing speed of atleast 25 words per minuted on computer. Successfull candidates of the above two stages of the selection process will then be called for the personal interview test with the selection committee. The selection process will be held on 21 April 2011 from 9:30 AM onwards.
