Maharastra institute of technology(MIT) PUNE is the best college for studying petroleum engg:in management seat they may ask huge donation as 10 lakhs.

HI, If you like to study petroleum engineeering, then you should go for it as it is one of the most emerging sector these days with lot of opportunities.The top colleges for Petroleum engineering would be UPES Dehradoon, Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET), Dibrugarh (Assam),
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University- School of Solar Energy, Gandhinagar, aditya engneering college. THese are one of the god universities for studying petroleum engineering, while when it comes to placement, there are very few colleges that strikes the best deal, I would say if you look at the placement charts, most of the colleges don't usually fare well . only few like UPES makes it to the mark.
