Re: Am I eligible for MCA if done DCA in place of 12th standard?
Definitely, you will be eligible for pursuing MCA (Master of Computer Application) degree course after completion of your BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) degree course which you are pursuing through lateral entry as regular BCA and BCA through lateral entry are of same value when it comes to the eligibility for pursuing MCA degree course is concerned.
Further, for getting admission in top colleges to pursue MCA degree course, you need to qualify examinations like NIMCET, JNU MCA entrance examination, DU MCA entrance examination, etc. . |

DCA is Diploma in computer application.
It's 1 year diploma course in computer and diploma is not equivalent to bachelor's degree For getting admission in MCA , candidate must have passed graduation in BCA or equivalent from a recognised board and must have acquired 60% marks in qualifying exam. Those who are in their final year can also apply. So after completing BCA, you can apply for MCA. |
