Hello friends, I would like to know about the course structure of Diploma in Special Education(Mental Retardation) which is available in Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University. Please tell me about the structure of this course. Thank you!

Diploma in Special Education( Mental Retardation) is a 2 year duration course. The main objectives of the course are:-

-> To provide opportunities for developing knowledge skills, attitudes and values appropriate to work with individual groups, communities and organizations.
-> To facilitate education and training in special education with special reference to Cerebral Palsy.
-> To promote integration of theory and practice.
-> To provide opportunities for students for personal growth.
-> To have a basic knowledge of medical aspects like physiology and pathology in general.
-> To be able to make and use aids for classroom instruction.
-> To be familiar with appropriate assistive technology.
