Re: Diploma in Electrical & Electronic can give IAS entrance exam
To be eligible for appearing in the Civil Services examination (often known as IAS entrance examination), the minimum education required is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
So, just on the basis of Diploma in Electrical and Electronics engineering degree which is not equivalent to a bachelor's degree course, you are not eligible for appearing in the Civil Services examination unless you complete a bachelor degree course. For complete details regarding the Civil Services examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in. |

Re: Diploma in Electrical & Electronic can give IAS entrance exam
A Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering can make you eligible to apply for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) exam.
- The eligibility criteria for the IAS exam are based on educational qualifications and not specific degree programs. - To be eligible for the IAS exam, a candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline. - This means that a candidate with a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering can also apply for the IAS exam, provided they meet the other eligibility criteria such as age limit, nationality, and physical fitness. - Clearing the IAS exam is highly competitive, and candidates need to prepare thoroughly for the exam, which includes a preliminary exam, a mains exam, and a personal interview. - Additionally, candidates need to have a strong understanding of a wide range of subjects such as current affairs, history, geography, economics, and social issues, among others, to clear the exam. |

No, Diploma candidates are not eligible to apply for UPSC Civil Services Examination because for this examination, you have to complete your graduate degree course from a recognised University.
Final year graduate candidates are also apply for this examination. But you have completed diploma course and diploma candidates are not eligible to apply for UPSC civil services exam. To apply for this exam, your age should be between 21 to 30 years and upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST OBC candidates. |
