Are PGDM passouts eligible for UGC NET exam even if their diploma is not equivalent to MBA?

Yes, PGDM holders are very much eligible to sit for UGC-NET examination.

Below, I have mentioned the eligibility criteria for UGC-NET examination.

Kindly have a look at it.

Eligibility Criteria:

> The basic eligibility for appearing in UGC-NET exam is a Master degree or equivalent in related subjects.

> Candidate must have a minimum of 55% (54.99% is not eligible) in it.

> Candidates appearing or have appeared for final year exams are also eligible.

> For appearing students they must produce their degree certificate within one year from the date of this test, otherwise they will be disqualified.

> Candidates who have pursued the degree as specified by UGC only are eligible for the exam.

> Candidate can appear for the related subject as studied in graduation. If the subjects are not covered as per UGC specification they can appear for their related subjects.

> Candidates qualifying the exam will be called for document verification at final stage.

> Candidates who have qualified the SET exam are also eligible to appear for this examination.

No, PGDM candidates are not eligible for UGC NET exam.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by UGC.

The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

Marks distribution for each papers of NET Exam:-

Section 1 - 100 marks(60 questions are there)
Section 2 - 100 marks(50 questions are there)
Section 3 - 150 marks(75 questions are there)

PGDM/PGDBM are not eligible for UGC-NET and you know the reason very well as can be sensed from your question.
UGC-NET is for those candidates who have completed or are in the final appearing of Post Graduation or equivalent.
You know clearly that PGDM/PGDBM is not equivalent to Masters or MBA to be precise.
as so,you would be ineligible for the exam.

Since, you are only PGDM holder, you are not applicable for UGC-NET exam.
