You can apply for Polytechnic Entrance exam for admission into Diploma in Mechanical Engineering course. For UP Polytechnic Entrance exam you must have following qualifications.

1. 10th pass from a recognized board of education with Maths, Science and English subjects.

2. Should be an Indian citizen.

Exam Pattern for UP Polytechnical Exam:

1. Exam will have objective type questions. In total there will be 120 questions.

2. Questions will be related to subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Maths of 10th class level.

3. 60 questions from Maths subjects and 30 questions each from Physics and Chemistry will asked in the objective type paper.

4. There will be negative marking for wrong answers and you need to carefully attempt, so that you don't get deduction wrong answers.
