Whether a Ex-Government employee become a guarantor against an Education Loan for BTech aspirant?
Sir, my parents are passed away and I live with my grandfather. He is an ex-Government employee. He got pension but he doesn’t have an IT File. But he has a Bank Account. I want to get education loan of Rs. 6.5 Lacs for doing BTech course. Now, question is, my grandfather become guarantor or not?

Your grandfather can become your Guarantor, if he has a regular flow of cash in his account. Although most of the banks will not consider a senior citizen as guarantor for education loan, but still you can try for it and see.
They can even ask for some collateral security to cover the risk. Hence, if there are any FDs and properties, then it will work in your favor. |
