Re: Higher Studies or Job first? after BSc IT
Dear friend,
It depends on your interest, whether you want to do further studies or a job. After completing B.Sc IT you can definitely get a good IT job as IT is in great demand. But, if you are interested in doing further studies then you can take up MBA(Systems or IT), MCA, M.Sc. IT. The best thing to do would be to take up MBA. But, its your choice. Either of these courses will be beneficial. The programming languages in demand these days are, Java, Oracle, C, C++ and VB. |

Re: Higher Studies or Job first? after BSc IT
Hi,I have completed BSc(IT) and awaiting my results. I'm currently working at a reputed BPO. Programming languages and h/w-networking don't fascinate me enough. My interest lies in scripting languages and database languages.I'm also keen to know about MCSE,A and Redhat Linux as the company where I work offers these courses in affiliation with other IT institutes. Also could you please offer me guidance as to whether MSc(IT),MSc(CSE),MBA(IT) or MBA(Systems) would be suitable for me keeping in mind my interests.

Re: Higher Studies or Job first? after BSc IT
Hi!
All the 3 courses viz. MBA, MCA & MSc(IT) have good career prospects. If you are interested in IT field then then you can pursue either MCA or MSc.(IT). IT professionals are in great demand in country's blue chip companies. If you will pursue MSc.(IT) you will find it easier to learn the new concepts as you are aware of the fundamentals & it will be just a continuation of what you have studied at the graduate level. MCA is also a good choice if you are not interested in doing MSc.(IT). The starting salary for a MCA professional ranges between 20,000 to 30,000 per month. Also there exists a no. of opportunities for promotion to senior level with huge perks & incentives. For enrolling in MCA you have to appear in the MCA entrance exam conducted by various universities. If you secure high rank in the exam you will get an institute of your choice. Good institute with 100% placement record will give your career a flying start. But if you are not interested in IT field you can pursue MBA. MBA offers a no. of electives like HR, IT, Marketing etc. you can select a particular elective depending upon your skill, knowledge, interest & opportunities. Do a SWOT(strength, weakness, threat & opportunity) analysis of yourself & then select the that field which will be best for you. |

Re: Higher Studies or Job first? after BSc IT
If you are financially secure than please go for higher studies first and then only do job. Because after your touch with studies is not there you will not be interested to carry it forward. You can either do MSc IT, MCA, MBA etc. It all upto uor choice. For taking admission to MCA you should have maths in 10+2 and can do it from any recognised college.
Best of luck!!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Higher Studies or Job first? after BSc IT
Dear friend
According to me you should go for job first for minimum three years experience. After this you should go for higher studies ,according to your wish. But i think ,you should go for MBA as MBA is the demand of today's world.Through this qualification you get job in many MNCS with a handsome salary. Best of luck. |

Re: Higher Studies or Job first? after BSc IT
obviously higher study is best.
but in which direction you will go for higher study it will depends on you. if you are interested to job in management sector then only go for MBA. otherwise think about M.Sc or MCA. these both are good for you as you are a student of B.Sc(IT). MCA also the course on computer application. you may go for it. it will be better to go towards MCA. because job opportunity and scope is better in MCA. if you already learn C language then learn JAVA, C++, SQL, HTML, J2ME etc. best wishes. |

Dear student, you should complet your higher studies firestly because you can not get more oppuriunity & if you entered in job then you will not interested in compliting your higher studies. your mind set will not able to complite your higher studies after job.
if any financial or any other type problem then you can do the job and complite you higher studies through the distance mode. |

MCA is a better and perfect choice for you, as you have already completed BSC IT, then you can easily understand MCA syllabus, rather than MBA and so....A part from it , you can find job tomorrow any how but studies can do when you are continuous in studies..so go for higher studies MCA.

Re: Higher Studies or Job first? after BSc IT
B.sc (IT) is just not enough for getting a good job or better career prospect.
So, opt for further studies first then look forward at job market. Since, you are B.sc (IT), MBA (IT) will be much better for the point of job prospect and present Market value. I will not advice you to opt for MCA, that's because MCA has no longer remain as prosperous as it was previously.Between MCA and B.tech (CSE) preferance are given to B.tech one.And also because number of MCA graduate has increased to such a considerable extent that it getting tougher for find place in job |

I will say you that if you have job in your hand then go for job. Because your ultimate aim is to get job after higher study also. After doing job also you can go for higher study with your own money. If you go for higher study then go for MBA.
