No, you cannot do M. Tech. directly after doing B. Sc. Firstly you have to do M. Sc. then you can think of M. Tech. A person has to give GATE exam to get admission in M. Tech. Minimum academic qualification for appearing in GATE exam is-

* B. E. or B. Tech. or B. Arch. in any branch from a recognised university.
OR
* Master's degree in any branch of science/maths/statistics/computer application

To do M.tech in good colleges you must clear an examination called GATE for pursuing .

The educational qualification for appearing in this exam is as follows:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture/technology.

or

Master’s degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent

So i think you must do your M.sc for doing M.tech in reputed colleges.

friend,sure a student after completing bsc can apply for mtech. there are 2 subjects viz. physical sciences and life sciences that are avialable in gate. bsc candidates of physics,chemistry generally apply for physical sciences whereas botany,zoology graduates apply for life sciences.after appearing and qualifying gate u can do mtech.

Dear Friend,
A B.Sc student can not do M.Tech as the minimum educational qualification required to apply for M.Tech degree is a B.Tech degree from a recognized institution or the candidate should has a Master's degree from a recognized institutions.

If a B.Sc student want to do M.Tech then the student has to first complete either B.Tech or M.Sc course.After completing any of the course the candidate become eligible to apply for the M.Tech course.

I am going to complete my Bsc degree in chemistry hons from delhi university and I am planning to take coaching of gate entrance but there is a confusion whether a student after Bsc is eligible for mtech

M.tech course is a master degree course. The eligibility for this course is to have a graduation degree in engineering stream or master degree in science stream.

So only with your BSC degree you can not do this course. You have to do the MSc course then only you will be eligible for the M.tech Course.

M,tech is the master degree course in the technical section.For this course you have to appear in the GATE exam.GATE is graduate aptitude test for engineering.The basic eligibility criteria for this exam is to have a bachelor degree in engineering stream from a recognized university with good percentile.or A master degree in Science stream from a recognized university with good percentile.

So just after your BSC you are not eligible for the M.tech course.You have to first complete your MSc course then only you will be eligible for the Gate exam and by which you can get the admission in M.tech course.
