Mtech is a post graduation course for BTeach. But can a student of BSc do Mtech ? Or for Mtech a student has to do MSc after BSc?

Yes of course, a person can do M.tech after B.Sc.The thing you have to do is to give entrance exam to get into a college for M.tech.I am going to provide you some college which provide M.tech:

Can I do M.Tech after PGDCA ?

There is an examination called GATE for pursuing M.Tech in some very reputed institutes like IITs.
The eligibility criteria for this examination :

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture/technology.

· Master’s degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent

· Qualifications equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AME by ICE(I))

firstly i want to say you that mtech student will not go for bsc or msc.as mtech degee is higher level degree than msc.

and secondly bsc student cann't do mtech.only btech or msc students only can do mtech...

Is MSc CS honours and B.Tech CS equivalent?

Is ME and MTech equivalent?
similarly are the two courses BE and BTech equivalent?

You can do Mtech after bsc. The Mtech will be a 3 year course for bsc students (for btech and msc students it will be 2yrs). but a few colleges are providing Mtech after Bsc.

No , It is not possible to do MTech without having a btech course . One more thing is that , in real world MSc degree is equivalent to Btech but both has their significance in different fields.
Only method left for MTech course is that , you have to do MCA course which is equivalent to B.Tech in all respect and by then you can take admission in M.Tech course in Computer field.

for this u must have math/physics/chemistry in ur graduation level.

u dont need to go for m.sc to do m.tech.

u just have to appear for the GATE.

Definitely you can do whatever you thought, means You can complete your M.Tech after B.Sc through GATE exam.
for this you should pass the B.Sc with Math.
besides this now in GATE syllabus aptitude is included,so you should practice general aptitide from some books such as B'rrons,R.S.Agarwal etc...

YES , there is no any problem.

you can give the gate exam after the b.sc and then you can take the

admission in the master course such as m.sc.

but you can not take the admission in the m.tech.

I am sorry to say but you cannot do M.tech directly after Bsc.you have first do Msc in your branch and then you have to appear for all India entrance test GATE and if you score good you can do m.tech from some of the branded institutes like IIT,NIT,etc.

This is not true. You can go for Mtech if it suits your subjects that you studied in the graduation. No need to do MSc you can directly pursue MTech. You need to give GATE exam to get admission into IIT that provide the best education in technical domain.

If you want to do MTech then you will have to successfully clear the GATE exam.

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE :
a. Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
b. Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
c. Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology.
d. Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Sorry, you are not eligible to appear in GATE. To be eligible to appear in GATE you should do MSc.

I have done B.Sc with Bio Group(Geology, Botany, Zoology), M.A.(History), Diploma from APTECH, Graduate Diploma in IT from Australian renowned University(regular). now I am working in an company as software Developer(.NET). I want to do something that could establish my career in IT Industry. Which course I should do(correspondence course only), say like M.Sc IT, MCA, M.Sc of my choice and then appear for M.Tech or what? Please suggest me. I am really keen to see you advise me.

the best college you should target is the IISC Bangalore its heaven for research field,
for the m.tch you have to write the gate exam first,this year the time line for the application for the exam is over ,you can try for the next try and keep preparing this year for the exam,

to appear for GATE and to do M.tech, you have to be an M.sc graduate...
so first complete your M.sc.........................................

B.sc is not enough.

No doubt you can do m.tech after BSc but you will have to crack respective entrance exams for that. you can take admission in iisc, banglore, iits and nits.
