ITBP Selection Process & Application Form 2012

ITBP Recruitment for filling up the backlog vacancies in the post of Constable ( General Duty ) Group ” C “, for male Indian citizens belonging to J & K State only, in the Indo Tibetan Border Police Force, will be carried out through Local Rally System. The post has All India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. On appointment, the candidate shall be governed by the ITBPF Act and Rules.

ITBP Pay Scale and other allowances 2012 :

a) ITBP Constable Pay Scale 2012 :

Rupee 5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay Rupee 2,000/- per month.

b) Other allowances for Constable Jobs 2012 :

The post will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Washing Allowance as admissible from time to time, Special Compensatory Allowance while posted in specified border areas, free uniform, free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Free leave pass and any other allowance as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules / instructions. They will be covered under new restructured defined contributory pension scheme.

A candidate appearing for the test should mention / intimate if any criminal case(s) is / are pending/lodged against him in any police station / Hon’ble court.

Note :

10% of the vacancies in each category are reserved for Ex – Servicemen.
The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent.
The candidates should report for ITBP Group C recruitment at the centres and on the dates mentioned against their Districts. However, if any candidate is unable to get registered for recruitment rally at respective centre on scheduled dates, he may report on subsequent day at that centre, till completion of recruitment at that particular centre. The day of recruitment tests in respect of particular centre may be extended by the respective Recruitment Board, if required.

Eligibility Conditions for Indo Tibetan Border Force Constable Jobs 2012 :

(i) Age Limit for ITBP Group C Recruitment 2012 :

Between 18 to 23 Years ( Cut off date for determining the age will be 01 August 2011 ).

Note :

Upper age limit is relaxable for SC / ST by 5 years and for OBC by 3 years.
For Ex – Servicemen relaxation in upper age limit to the extent of military service plus 3 years is applicable. No Race & PET is required to be qualified by an Ex – serviceman.
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years to the children and dependent family members of those killed in 1984 riots and riots of 2002 in Gujarat. The SC / ST / OBC relexation as per Govt. instructions will be in addition. Children and dependent family members should produce a certificate to that effect from the Collector of the concerned District where the victim was killed.
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years to all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01st day of January 1980 to 31st day of December 1989.

(ii) Educational Qualification for Constable Vacancies 2012 :

Matriculation or 10th Class pass from a recognized Board / University.

(iii) Physical Standards for ITBP Jobs 2012 :

For all except candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes category. 165 cms 78 cms Minimum expansion 5 Cms Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes. 162.5 cms 76 cms

Note :

Candidate who intends to avail relaxation in Height / Chest measurement will have to submit certificate.

(iv) ITBP Medical Standards for Constable Recruitment 2012 :

(a) Eye Sight : The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of 2 eyes without correction without wearing of glasses.

(b) The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
