Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), a mountain trained Force, was conceived on 24 October 1962. The officers & men of ITBP are professionally trained Mountaineers and Skiers. ITBP serves as the first responder for natural Disaster in the Himalayas. It also carries out many rescue and relief operations.

ITBP Commandos are providing security to Embassy of India Kabul, Consulate General of India, Jalalabad and Khandar in Afghanistan from November 2002. ITBP is also involved in checking unlawful immigration, border crimes and smuggling, and providing security to sensitive installations, banks and protected persons.

Job Profile:

Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Force invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (Pharmacist).

No. of posts: 48

Pay Scale – Rs. 5200 - 20200 + Grade pay of Rs. 2800

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 20 yrs and the maximum age limit is 28 yrs. (Relaxable as per rules)

Educational qualification and experience – Candidates must have must have passed Matriculation from recognized Board, and Diploma in Pharmacy from any Central/ State Government recognized institution. The candidates must have registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.

Selection Process:

The candidates are selected for the post through Recruitment Test that includes Physical measurement test, Physical efficiency test (PET), Written examination, Practical/ trade/ aptitude test, Interview, and Detailed medical examination.
