The Full Form of AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. This Test is conducted every year for those candidates who want to join the Indian Air force in any of the below mentioned branches : * Flying Branch * Technical Branch * Ground Duty Now the educational qualification required for the AFCAT Exam differs with the branch like : a) For Flying branch , you must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. Also , you must have passed 12th with Physics and Maths as the Main Subjects. b) For Technical Branch, you must Bachelor`s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks. c) For Ground Duty branch , you need graduation in any stream with a minimum of 60% marks from any recognized university. Now The Age Limit for the AFCAT Exam is : 1) For Flying Branch : 19-23 years 2) For Technical Branch : 18-28 years 3) For Ground Duty Branch : 20-27 years Since , you are currently pursuing B.Tech [ECE] and are in the 3rd years so you cannot apply for the AFCAT Exam currently. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AFCAT EXAM Ground Duty Branches – 20-27 years of age. PG or Bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% aggregate marks. Flying Branch – minimum of 19 years of age and maximum of 23 years. The candidate must have the B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks. The Acronym "AFCAT" stands for the Air Force Common Admission Test. This Test is conducted every year for the selection of candidates in the following branches of the Indian Air Force. Candidates who cleared this examination are recruited in the different branches of Indian Air Force on the basis of their educational qualification. There are three branches of Indian Airforce for which the AFCAT examination is conducted : * Flying Branch * Technical Branch & * Ground Duty Branch Educational Qualifications for AFCAT examination are as follows: i) Educational Qualification for Ground Duty Branch : Candidates with Graduation in any stream with minimum 60% marks from a recognized college / university. ii) Educational Qualification for Flying Branch : B.E. / B.Tech candidates with at least 60% or candidates pursuing in the final year. iii) Educational Qualification for Technical Branch : Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering with minimum 60% marks. AFCAT - AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST AFCAT is conducted twice an year . 1st in the month of March and 2nd in the month of August. Eligibility : Ground Duty Branch: Age limit - 20-27 Years 10+2, Bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% aggregate marks. Flying Branch: Age limit-19-23 years. 10+2, Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks. Technical Branch: Age limit-18-28 years 10+2, Aeronautical Engineering with minimum 60% marks. AFCAT consists of 100 questions. Time Limit- 2 hours. Each question carries 3 marks. The four test sections of AFCAT is as below: General Awareness Test of English language. You can apply for the IAF. Age should be between 19-23 Years and aspiring candidates has to be Graduates (Three Year Course) in any discipline and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech (Four Year Course) and should scored Minimum 60% in all papers put together. For technical entry, both Male/Female candidates should be between 18-28 Years and have acquired four year degree qualification from a recognized University.
Generally, one can be a part of any of the three branches of the Airforce after completing your graduation, Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duties Branch. Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT is by far the biggest exam conducted for entry into the IAF. Candidates after appearing for the written test has to undergo (AFSB)SSB . The written test is same for all the candidates irrespective of the Branch Applied i.e. Flying, Technical or Ground Duties. |

SIR I AM IN THIRD YEAR OF GRADUATION .AM I ELIGIBLE FOR APPLYING THIS POST. IF YES WHAT SHOULD I HAVE TO FILL IN SPACE OF AGGREGATE MARKS. WHAT SHOULD I FILL IN SPACE OF QUALIFYING EDUCATION AND EXACT QUALIFICATION AND PERCENTAGE BECAUSE I AM IN THIRD YEAR.
