How to fill AFCAT forms?

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted on a regular basis every year for admission into various courses offered in Indian Air Force. There will be separate notification for male candidates and female candidates. This exam is organized by IAF. Further details will be mentioned in the Air Force career website. The exam centers will be in major cities throughout the country. This exam provides an opportunity for aspirants to build up a good career in Air Force. Following are the details concerning filling up of the application form for this exam-

Instructions to be followed while filling the form

  • First of all, the aspirants should access the information hand out concerning the details of the test.
  • They should have knowledge concerning the details of filling up of forms. For this purpose they have to read the instruction bulletin that is given with the form very carefully.
  • Name of the students must be entered in clear block letters in the appropriate place.
  • Father’s name, guardian’s name etc must be entered in mentioned places accurately.
  • Qualification details that are mandatory for this exam should be mentioned with great care.
  • Category details and also the date of birth of the students must be specified in given boxes.
  • Address and also the contact number of the applicants must be entered without making any errors.
  • Clear photograph of the applicant should be affixed correctly in the specified places. Also it should be a latest photograph.
  • Signature of the applicant should be put in apt places clearly.
  • The applicants are advised to verify the form once again so as to avoid simple mistakes.
  • They also need to ensure that no necessary columns are left blank.
  • The application forms should be handled very neatly as well. Overwriting and also scribbling is not entertained.
  • The completely filled up application forms should reach the specified destination within the mentioned time limit.

Exemptions to be taken care while filling in form

  • Aspirants who are belonging to the SC, ST and also PH reserved categories will be given special age relaxation of up to 5 years.
  • Those students who are belonging to the category of Ex – Servicemen will also be given an age relaxation of 5 years.

The fees to be paid for General category students and also reserved category candidates will be totally different.

Acknowledgement of exam application form

The aspirants will get the hall tickets through post as an acknowledgement of the application that they have submitted. They must immediately contact the concerned authorities if they fail to receive the hall tickets on the right time.

    “Please Fill/Check information filled in Part 3 to proceed further or “You might not be Eligibile for any Course based on Information Provided by You”.
    This is the response when I move to part 4 of application, in spite of, taking utmost care in filling part 3 and part 2………help me out ……..regards

    While am filling part3,information such as subject in graduation,aboutPABT and when selecting ‘continue to part 4 ‘ it shows ‘ please fill the information otherwise u may not be eligible for any course’ while am adding every information…

    i am 3rd year btech student having branch EC .All the criterion u mention for the selection is valid for me …….the only problem is that being a 3rd yr student ,Is i am able for AFCAT exam?

    After completing step 3 its showing as “you may not be eligible for it” whereas all the details provided dy me are genuine and suitable for the reuirement
