the minimum requirement to become an IAS officer or to be able to give the exam of civil service exams..u need a minimum of a graduation degree..so right now u can't appear in the exam..
score 60% or above in ur graduation abd then work hard in order to clear ur civil service exams..

No, you are not eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination to become IAS Officer you must have to cracked the Civil services examination.

And after completing your 12Th examination you cant apply for this examination because Graduation is the minimum Eligiblity to apply for this examination.

If you want to become IAS officer then you must complete your graduation first because

graduation is the minimum qualification for IAS. Now you are in 12th,so you are not

eligible for this test now. Do hard work and take good percentage in graduation for your

At first you have to pass the civil service exam , only then you can join IAS .

The eligibility for civil service exam -

60% in graduation . So work heard and get any thing above 60% and prepare for the civil service exam.

Eligibility criteria involves certain things as mentioned below:

1. Educational qualification:

• must be a graduate from a recognised university.


• candidates having professional and technical qulification are also eligible.



• the minimum eligibility criteria regarding the civil service exam is that the candidate should be a graduate in any discipline. The candidate should attain at least a 55% of marks in the qualifying examination.


• there is a minimum age limit for the candidate to attend the exam which is subject to reservations in case of sc/st/obc etc. There is no limitation on the number of attempts in case of ias exam for sc/st candidates.


• the candidates in the general category can attempt 4 times the exam.



2. Nationality:

• the candidate must be a citzen of india.


3. Age limits:

• candidate must attain the age of 21 years and must not attained the age of 30 years on the year in which the examination is being held.

• relaxtation of age limit in case of sc/st and other backward categories.

No, you are not eligible to write IAS(Indian Administrative Services) exam. IAS exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public service commission). If you want to write this exam you want to be graduate.

* Candidates must be graduate from a recognized university.
* The age limit must be within 21 to 30 years.
* Final year candidates can also appear for the exam.

So, if you have interest on IAS exam you have to first finish the graduation. Until then you are not eligible to write IAS exam.

As you have completed your 12th exam then jon a UGC recognised college for any graduation course in anay stream and you can also join a coaching instittue for a proper preparation that is very good idea

while doing your graduation course side byy side prperae for the ias exam this is the best you can learn topics

Sorry,can't join IAS only after the 12th .You need a graduation degree for applying in it.But you can start preparing for it after the 12th .There are many institution available for these types of preprations.Remember,if you are thinking of becoming an IAS ,you should have to update with the newspaper daily..........

The minimum eligibility criteria for applying for Indian Civil Service is graduation (in any stream).
so,after completing your 10+2, you can start preparing for IAS but to appear in that exam, you need to finish your graduation first.

You can not apply for Indian Administrative Service until you complete the graduation. Therefore my advice is that you pursue a graduation course before thinking about applying for the Indian Administrative Service.


Please choose your graduation course carefully. You must remember that there is a very strong competition in IAS and only 200-300 candidates are selected every year. Therefore if you are not selected, you should have enough qualification to find a good job.

In my opinion you should concentrate exclusively on your academics and all activities in your college.
