@arungenius9
Hey Arun, higher studies always help in making you a person with enhanced knowledge and getting you a good respectable job. But if you are in full mood of doing a job then don't change your mind. Don't push yourself for higher studies if you are not actually willing to do so. B.Tech is enough for getting you a decent job in a good firm or company. |

Re: After btech in bioinformatics: Job vs higher studies?
hi arun i personally suggest you to go for higher study because:
1)it will help tackle the recession period and can join any company after recession period is over. 2)even if you join any job now ,then also you have to go for higher studies even after doing job for an year or two,so better you go for it now. |

Re: After btech in bioinformatics: Job vs higher studies?
means justify the ends friend. if you are able to get a job after graduation which gives you opportunity to utilise your knowledge, just pick it and when you have muster experience then decide what will be suitable for you.
and, if you are not getting a decent job then to improve your profile go for higher studies |

Re: After btech in bioinformatics: Job vs higher studies?
Dear Friend,
After BE or B.Tech, you can either do job or go for higher studies. As per me is concern i will be better if you go for higher studies like M.Tech or MBA. You can do either M.Tech or MBA but you should do your master degree from reputed college. To get admission to reputed college for MBA , you have to qualify in CAT or MAT or SNAP etc exam and then after you have to do well in GD & PI exam conducted by the college To get admission for M.Tech from good college you have to get good percentile of marks in GATE exam. It will be better if you join a coaching classes like T.I.M.E or IMS for MBA And for GATE you can join GATE forum. Or else you can do job in some of the good companies. if you complete your masters degree then you will be paid more. Or if you want to do job then apply in companies. |

Re: After btech in bioinformatics: Job vs higher studies?
HI!
You can either pursue higher education after Btech. in biotech or you can search for job, the choice is yours. Higher education is preferable if you want to upgrade your knowledge & skills, add value to yourself & want to work in R&D field. Job prospects after btech. in bioinformatics: job prospects are in all sectors of biotechnology, pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, in research institutions, hospital and industry. you can also take up teaching jobs in public institutions if you have a skill in teaching. Some of the specific career areas that fall within the scope of bioinformatics include Pharmacogenomics, Pharma-cology, Clinical pharmacologist, Informatics developer; Computational chemist, Bio-analytics and Analytics etc. |

Re: After btech in bioinformatics: Job vs higher studies?
Quote:
1) You can go for m.tech if you have higher ambition about your education and then go for Ph.d. 2) You can go for job immediately but for that you have to prepare for the aptitude and interview questions of different companies. But, in my opinion you should go for higher education as it is much better to concentrate in study at this lower age and once you start earning money you may not concentrate on your education. Also you will get much priority in the companies after your m.tech. |

Re: After btech in bioinformatics: Job vs higher studies?
dear friend,
After completion of your B.Tech in bio-informatics you will get a chance for job but is better for you to do higher studies like M.Tech & then PhD, which will enhance your knowledge as well as chances to go abroad for research sector. Actually it is a matter of your choice , if you want to do job then you should start preparation for job & after getting 2-3 years experience you should continue your higher studies. good luck. |
