Age criteria for JEE Main 2017
I will give my 12th class exam in April 2017 and I will be of 16 years and 6 month of my age at that time. Can I give the entrance exam of JEE Main 2017?

--- You must be born on or after October 1, 1992 to appear in JEE main 2017 exam.
--- Being a reserved category candidate, you will be given five years relaxation in upper age limit. --- You must have to submit certificate of Secondary Education Board as a age proof. --- As per your current age, you are eligible to appear in GATE 2017 exam. |

CBSE is examination conducting body of Joint Entrance Examination. It has clearly mentioned that if a candidate is appearing for board examination of 10+2 then he can apply for JEE Main examination.
You are eligible to apply for JEE Main examination at age of 16 years and 6 months. Your necessary subjects in 10+2 must be Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The upper age limit for general category candidate is 25 years which is relaxed by five years for SC, ST and PWD candidates. |

Age criteria of JEE:
Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1992. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1987. Educational qualification: Candidate should have complete 12th standard. Number of attempts: Candidate can attempt two times in a year. |

JEE Main stands for Joint Entrance Examination. It is a national level engineering entrance examination which is conducted by CBSE for offering admission to undergraduate programmes in NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs.
To be eligible to appear in JEE Main 2017 examination, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from a recognised board. There is no minimum age limit required to appear in JEE Main examination. The upper age limit to appear in JEE Main 2017 examination is 25 years as on 31st December, 2017. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules. As per the information you have mentioned in your query, you will be 17 years 2 months as on 31st December, 2017, so, you are eligible to appear in JEE Main examination. |

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and is conducted by CBSE and IIT.
The examination is conducted in two stages as Main and Advanced. The eligibility to appear for examination is :- Candidate must have passed or going to appear for 12th board examination from a recognised board. Candidate must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main paper in board. Candidate's age must not be above 25 years. There is no minimum age limit to appear for examination. As per JEE eligibility criteria to appear for Main or Advanced stage of examination.
There is no minimum age limit to appear for examination but the maximum age limit to appear for examination is 25 years. There is relaxation in upper age limit for candidates of reserved category. So, no doubt you can appear for examination in 2017. |

To be eligible to appear in JEE Main 2017 examination, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with MPC stream from a recognised board. No minimum age is required to appear in JEE Main 2017 examination. Upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December, 2017 to be eligible to appear in JEE Main 2017 examination. Since, you are 16 years 6 months old as on April 2017, you will attain more than 17 years as on 31st December, 2017, so, you are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2017 examination.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. The examination is conducted for admission of candidates in B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch courses after 12th.
The examination is conducted for admission in IIT's, NIT's and other government and private institutions. To appear for examination there is no minimum age limit but the maximum age limit is 25 years. So, you can appear for examination in 2017. |

The maximum age limit to appear for the exam is 25 years as on 1st October of the year of examination for the candidate belonging to open category.There is relaxation in age limit of 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidate. That means the candidate must have born on or after 1st October 1992 for General Candidates and for reserved categories candidates, it is 1st October 1987. |

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and is a national level engineering entrance examination held for selection of deserving candidates for their admission in undergraduate technical courses in top engineering colleges of India including centrally funded institutes of technology like IIT, NIT, IIIT, ISM etc. .
The same examination is held in two stages which includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced respectively. The minimum qualification required for appearing in JEE Main are as here under :- You must have the nationality of India with your age not exceeding 25 years by the 31st December of that year in which you will seek admission in the first year of your undergraduate degree course. You must have completed your Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your main subjects from a recognized board. Also your aggregate must be not less than 45%. Further to be eligible for admission in IIT or NIT your aggregate must be at least 75%( here relaxation of 10% is allowed for reserved category candidates). Since you have mentioned that your age will be around 16 years 6 months by April 2016 which means your age will be as per the age criteria by 31st December 2017 and hence you are eligible for the same on the age criteria requirement. Yes, you are eligible to appear in JEE main 2017 exam. Basically JEE mains is an entrance exam conducted for admission in engineering institutes. The age criteria to appear in this exam is as below:
