hello sir i am a student of 11th standard from west bengal board i want to know age limit,criteria(marks),best book for scra examination and what kind of preparation i do from now to achieve top 10 in scra exmination,also is the syllabus of west bengal H.S. match with scra syllabus and the month of examination,please help me out sir.

POINTS TO NOTE :

-> The age limit for SCRA exam is as follows....

-> A candidate must have attained the ageof 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August, 2011, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1990 and not later than
1st August, 1994.

Eligibility criteria for SCRA exam -

1. Educational qualification = candidate should have passed the 12th with first or second division with Math and at least one among Physics and chemistry .
2.Age limit = Minimum age limit is 17 years .(5 years relaxation for sc/st and 3 years relaxation for OBC)
3.Candidate should be a citizen of India.
4.Candidate must be physically fit .

The exam is conducted through two tests written test and personality test .
The main subjects for the exam is english and general knowledge .For english follow the basic rules of vocabulary and grammar.For general knowledge read newspaper daily ,focus on Indian politics ,economics ,welfare of India etc.

SCRA Stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice.

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the SCRA Exam every year for those who want to have a bright future in Indian Railways.

The SCRA Exam is one of the toughest examinations conducted by the UPSC with just 44 seats from all over India.

The Eligibility Criteria for SCRA Examination are :

* you must have passed 12th with PCM from any recognized board.

* You must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in 12th.

* your age must lie in between 17-21 years.

* You must be an Indian.

Those candidates who are selected are sent for 4 years Mechanical Engineering Course in BITS - Pilani .

During these 4 years , the government bears all the necessities of the candidates and in addition gives a stipend of Rs. 9000/- month to the candidate also.
