IIT performs Joint Entrance exams for the undergraduate programs. It is one of the most celebrated competitive exams in our country. The minimum age limit is 17 years for the applicant. The maximum age limit is set to be 25 for the general category. For the SC/ST/PD categories 5 years relaxation time is given. But there is no special preference about the OBC category.

Hi
IIT JEE in the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination. It is conducted by the IIT's to select candidates for the B.E/B.Tech courses in the 13 IIT's all across the country. Now the Eligibility Criteria for the IIT JEE are: 1. The candidate should have passed class 12th with science stream, PCM being compulsory subjects. 2. They should have scored a minimum 60% in aggregate in the board exams and securing more than 60% marks in PCM each. 3. Only two consecutive attempts are given to a student. One in the year of the board exams, and another the following year. So in your case, no relaxation is given to the age or no. of attempts for any SC/ST/OBC category students. Yeah in a way you can consider the maximum age limit for IIT JEE is 21 years. Hope this helps. All the best Regards #RJ# ![]() |
