Age limit to become an Assistant Professor of Mathematics? When the application form will be out for it?
Hello sir, I want to apply for an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in government colleges. What is the upper age limit to become the Assistant Professor? When the application form be out for it?

For recruitment as assistant professor candidates have to appear and qualify in NET/SET.
NET examination is conducted by UGC. The eligibility to appear for examination is :- Candidate must have passed master's degree from a recognised university. Candidate must have minimum 55% in master degree to appear for examination. There is no age limit to appear for examination for recruitment as assistant professor. For more information about examination visit at www.ugc.ac.in. The examination is conducted in month of June and December every year. |

There is no upper age limit to appear for NET examination for recruitment as assistant professor.
The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed master degree and have scored minimum 55 % with relaxation in aggregate for reserved category. So, you can appear for examination and after qualifying in examination eligible for recruitment in government colleges. The application form for examination will be available in April - May. As per University Grant Commission there is no maximum age limit to appear for NET ( National Eligibility Test ) examination conducted for recruitment as lecturer or as Assistant Professor.
The other eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed or in the final year of master degree with minimum 55% and relaxation for reserved category. The examination is conducted twice every year in month of June and December candidates after qualifying in examination will become eligible for recruitment in government colleges. The application form are released in month of April/May or October/November.For details visit at www.ugc.ac.in. |

To be eligible for becoming Assistant Professor in university approved by UGC you will have to qualify NET.
NET stands for National Eligibility Test and it is held by CBSE on behalf of UGC twice every year for recruitment of Assistant Professor and JRFs. To be eligible for NET for being Assistant professor, you need to have completed your Masters degree with at least 55% aggregate from a recognized university. 5% marks relaxation is allowed for reserved category candidates. Further as far as you are concerned about the age limit for becoming a Assistant Professor then there is no age limit for the same examination. As far as you are concerned about date of sale of application form for next NET then there is no official date announced till but it generally comes in the month of April / May and examination is held in June / July. You can become Assistant Professor through National Eligibility Test. There is no upper age limit for this post.
The eligibility criteria for NET is: Master's degree with 55%. Upper age limit for JRF is 28 years. |

Assistant Professors are generally lecturer who acquire such post by clearing National Eligibility Test. It is conducted by CBSE every year.
1. You must have done master's degree from a recognized university. 2. You should have at least 55% marks in PG course. There is no upper age limit for this post and exam. |

For becoming a an assistant professor in any recognised college of UGC you need qualify NET held by CBSE twice every year.
NET refers to National Eligibility Test and it is held once in the month of June / July and once in the month of December / January. To be eligible for same examination for becoming an assistant professor you must have the qualifications given below:- You must be an Indian Citizen. You must have completed your Master's degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Your aggregate must be at least 55% further 5% relaxation is allowed for SC/ST and PH category candidates. As far as you are concerned about the age limit for the same examination then there is no age limit for the post of assistant professor. Also there is no official news about important date of next NET but it is expected to be released by the April / May of this year.
