Because to appear in this examination your age should between 16 1/2 to 19 years. So, you are full fill the age eligiblity criteria, so definitely you can apply for NDA Examination.

twice in a year. To apply for this exam a candidate should be 10+2 pass in
any discipline.

NDA is conducted 2 times a year and is conducted by United Service Public Commission. Actually age limit to apply for NDA is 16 to 18 years, and not 19 years. So don't be misguided because on many sites on net age limit given is 17 to 19 years.

For NDA II, application forms are open, you can fill offline or online as per your choice. For online application please visit www.upsconline.nic.in and Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later

But your age should be in between 16 half to 19 on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year according to the year of examination.

As per as your Doubt You are Eligible as your date of Birth comes in May and your Year is on 93 there fore. You are Definitely Eligible For NDA I and NDA II .

Here i am providing the eligibility criteria in order to appear for NDA Exam.

Age criteria :
-One should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years.

Academic qualification :
-One should have completed his 10+2 to be eligible for NDA exam
-A candidate who is appearing for the 12th examinations is also eligible

As your date of birth is in the required age group, if you have passed 10+2, you can apply for NDA exam.

2nd july of 1993 to 1st january 1996 is the requirement for coming august nda exam if your date of birth is in between them do fill the form and check your quality it will definately give confidence to you

The NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice a year.

The NDA II for the year 2011 will be conducted on the 21st of August 2011.

The notification for the same has been released.According to the notification unmarried

male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st January,

1996 are eligible.

So as you can clearly see that you are not in the eligible age bracket, and hence, you

cannot sit for the exam.

However, dont loose heart, you can still join the defence forces by appearing for the CDS

exam conducted by the UPSC.

NDA-->National defense academy.
It is one of the most reputed and prestigious things to clear the NDA.
The minimum educational qualification is 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 70% marks.
The age limitation is between 16.5 - 19 years.( no relaxation ).
Minimum height should be 157.5 cm with 5 cm chest expansion.
